IT Application Support Specialist

Shifts: 
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities: 

Managing all projects and providing technical support and training to end users with a focus on maximizing the effectiveness of business systems. Responsible for training users of business systems as well as developing and documenting proper standard operating procedures. Involvement in various IT projects related to the organization’s goals. 

Duties: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project manage all the application projects scheduled for the fiscal year
  • Analyze problems and understand the impact of a problem on the application and on the client
  • Analyze user requirements for changes or enhancements, provide accurate estimates
  • Design, test and implement application changes or enhancements – Odoo (ERP system for finance, warehouse, manufacturing and CRM) through integration of various web based ERP/ MRP systems
  • Maintain and create system documentation for each supported application
  • Training end users and handle inquires as required
  • Appropriately manage client expectations on Incident Tickets and Service Requests
  • Understand and apply Incident Tickets, Service Requests and Change Management processes as they apply to the account/applications supported
  • Provide regular status updates to IT Manager
  • Follow and comply with Cube Management System (CMS)
  • Other projects or tasks as assigned
Skills and Education: 

The successful candidate will possess 3-5 years of the following skills and experience:  

  • Hands on experience in supporting finance and manufacturing through web based ERP/ MRP systems  
  • Project management experience
  • Experience and knowledge in Python, Webkits
  • Experience and knowledge with Postgre SQL, SQL Server
  • Experience and knowledge of web based applications
  • Experience in understanding user requirements
  • Experience producing application related documentation
  • Must possess excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills 
  • Must possess excellent client relationship skills 
  • Must demonstrate working well in a team environment (excellent interpersonal skills) 
  • Demonstrate a positive and willing attitude
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Commitment to high quality deliverables
  • Multitasking - working on competing priorities and switching priorities with task assignments
